Thumbs up Fan-Art (when copy better then original...)

Yeah, sometimes it happens. Especially wiz popular cartoon serials. Even if original style better fits into spirit of serial, it's often lacks details. First example, which comes to mind is definately SouthPark...
...Because it might be like this:

Impressing, isn't it ? Especially as interpretation. Anozer variant, less quiality but still:

(pretty fits to SP, by the way))

OK, not South Park. Let's look at "Ren & Stimpy Show (Videots)". Can it be drawn more detaily ? Yeah:

One more example, "Lenore". Yes, I agree, artists done great work at reconstruction of original comics style. But some variants are still possible. Like this:

...or even this ^_^...

OK, non-cartoon sample. Videogame art:

Well, so... How 'bout gathering some gallery of alternative-styled fan-art ?

Nah, don't worry about it. You can put anything there.

Not sure if I dig anime as an alternative fanart style, but well it's so pervasive that it's impossible to escape it.

Did you do all those pieces yourself?

Fanart is the bane of creative expression.

So you just grabbed someone else's work without their permission? You could have simply linked to the original artwork so we would know who created it.
I won't read you the "riot act" since you weren't trying to pass them off as your own....but think about it, some people might still think that you did these.

It's not so easy. Most of those pictures are from my collection on HD, so I just can't remember artist of each...
